Meet Your Pet’s Favorite Medical Team

  • Dr. Kate Cappe

    Owner/Veterinarian

Dr. Kate Cappe grew up on the island of Maui, Hawaii. She moved to California to attend college where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science/Pre-Veterinary Medicine from California Polytechnic State University in 2010.

Dr. Cappe attended Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Stillwater, OK where she graduated with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2015. After graduation, Dr. Cappe moved to south Florida where she completed a one year rotating internship focused in small animal surgery and emergency medicine at VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital. She continued to work for the following 5 years in south Florida as an emergency and general practitioner.

In 2020 Dr. Cappe moved to Mount Pleasant, SC to be closer to her family and start new roots in the low country. She practiced emergency medicine at the local emergency hospital for two years before starting Pet Care Professionals in 2021. Dr. Cappe realized the value in having quality veterinary care that could be delivered in the comfort of your own home so she decided to create a veterinary practice that values the highest quality medicine, while also being where your pets are happiest, at home.

Dr. Cappe enjoys surfing, playing soccer with a local league, and riding her reining horses. Dr. Cappe’s special interests in veterinary medicine include endocrine disease management, nutrition, and preventative wellness care.

  • Courtney Marsh Garneau

    Client Relations

Courtney grew up on a small family farm outside Atlanta, where a deep love and respect for animals took root at an early age. She climbed into the saddle at four and has been an avid equestrian ever since—training, caring for, and competing with horses through her youth.

A devoted rescuer from childhood, Courtney has a long history of finding, nurturing, and rehoming injured and stray cats and dogs. Those early experiences taught her hands-on animal care skills—and the empathy required to help animals learn to trust again. Her approach blends practical knowledge with gentle handling and clear communication with owners about each pet’s needs and progress.

Courtney is passionate about building relationships with both pets and their people. She prides herself on reliability, attention to detail, and tailoring care to each animal’s temperament—whether that means specialized feeding schedules, administering medication, or providing enrichment and exercise for her pets.

In 2022 Courtney welcomed twins into her family, who have already begun to share her curiosity and compassion for animals. She looks forward to bringing that same warmth and dedication to your pets—helping them stay healthy, happy, and well-cared-for while giving you peace of mind.
